Not much time to go!

Only 5 and half weeks until the big day! I can't believe we only have that much longer to go.Work has been keeping us both pretty busy which makes the weeks seem to go by quickly. I only have 2 more weeks of work left and am very excited to have a break from work until late October. I just hope I can find things to occupy my time until the baby gets here.

We had an ultrasound a couple of weeks ago and we got to see our little girl again. She is getting so big!! She has big chubby cheeks and my big lips. We have finally decided on a name. 
 
Averie June Barker

We went back and forth about the spelling Avery or Averie but in the end we decided to go with "ie" because my name is also spelled with an "ie". Her middle name June is after my Great Grandma June.

Last weekend we got to go to Salt Lake for a quick trip. My Dad's side of the family threw me a baby shower on Friday night and my Mom's side of the family threw me a shower on Saturday afternoon. So many people came to the showers. It was great to see family that we have not seen in ages. I wish I had pictures to post from all of my showers but I don't.  Averie is one loved little girl and got extremely spoiled!! Between the two showers and the shower that Tysen's family threw us in Idaho she got so much stuff. We are still slowly setting up everything in the nursery. Hopefully we get it all done before she arrives. We do have the crib and glider all set up, we are just waiting for the dresser to arrive. We decided to go with a pink and brown cherry blossom tree theme. I am surprised I decided on pink, I have never been a pink person. I actually have always disliked the color pink, but I guess pink started growing on me after we found out we were having a girl. We both are getting so excited for her to make her appearance. We are hoping she comes a little earlier than her due date, but we know the chances of that happening are pretty slim. So until then we will just enjoy our last few weeks being just the two of us.
