I can't believe how fast summer went by! I guess everyone was right when they said time speeds up when you have kids. It was bittersweet going to back to work this fall. I love my job and I love teaching, but it was hard having to take Averie back to daycare after getting her all summer to myself. Thankfully she loves daycare and I only work 9 months a year. She loves all the kids, the teachers, and also the toys at daycare! She jumps out of my arms every morning as soon as we walk in the door. I'm glad that she loves it and that they love her. It would be hard to say good bye in the morning if she cried. I can't believe how big she is getting. She is still very blonde, wonder if it will stick around or go darker? She now sleeps in the nap room at daycare, loves to walk all over the house (she hardly ever crawls anymore), gave up bottles in August, and drinks whole milk....when did she become so grown up?! Some of the other things that she loves... the slide at daycare. They decided to bring the slide inside because Averie loves it so much. She goes down it over and over again. She loves playing with her puzzles and matching the pieces/shapes. She loves playing with her number magnets on the fridge while I cook dinner. She loves books, she will bring a book to whoever is close by so that they can read to her. She also loves playing in her play kitchen. She loves to clean up and throw things away. After she finishes cleaning or throwing something away in the trash can she claps and says "Yah!". Last month Averie had her pictures taken. She wasn't grumpy, but she wasn't super happy either. I was worried we weren't going to get any good shots, but I am pleased with the outcome. Here are some of our favorites.
