Another month

Averie is now 8 months old! This stage/age has to be one of my favorites. She is now crawling and getting into everything. Her favorite finds are the remote and laptop cords. Some how she always manages to find them. She can get herself from her belly to the sitting up position. She can wave hi and bye (I love when she does this, it is adorable). Sometimes she will just open and close her hand and other times she goes all out and waves her whole arm. She gives hi five's. She loves to swing and go down the slide. She loved the swimming pool. We took her swimming for the first time over the weekend and she loved it. She didn't cry once, even when we got a major splash to the face. We bought her a little float boat. She loved sitting in it and floating around the pool. She was fascinated watching all the kids playing in the pool. She is very ticklish and if you find the right spots (neck, feet, sides) she will laugh uncontrollably. She also has just started pulling herself up on things. I think lowering her crib might be on the top of our to do list over spring break. Speaking of spring break, I get 6 and a half days off from school. Can you say spoiled? Averie and I can't wait to make the most of our time! I think some swimming, park trips, walks and shopping are in our future. We sure love this little girl and can't wait for summertime to arrive so we can go outside and play with her!

We had two unexpected snow days and we lost power for 8 hours so we had to bundle up to keep warm
