Waking up in Vegas...

Last weekend we were able to take a break from our crazy lives and go on a mini vacation
to where else but....

Tysen and I were able to go to Las Vegas for 3 nights because of his work. Tysen is a beer guy for Havre Distributors, which is kind of ironic because we are mormon and don't drink :) Anyways Anheuser Busch was having a Champions Ball for the top salesmen from the Western United States. Our flight, hotel, and food were all paid for...plus we even got spending money! We flew out of Great Falls and had a half hour layover in Salt Lake before landing in Vegas. We were put up in the Mandalay Bay Hotel, neither one of us had stayed there before so we were really excited.

We were on the 30th floor, here are pictures of our hotel room. There was even a flat screen TV in the bathroom...I wish I had one of those in my bathroom :D

Our first night we attended a reception with all the other salesmen at the House of Blues, which happened to be at our hotel. We met some other Anheuser Busch salesmen from Washington and California.

We are thrill seekers so had to ride some rides and see a show.
Our first ride was the New York New York
roller coaster. It was AWESOME!!! That is my favorite ride in Vegas.

We also saw a Cirque du Soleil performance. We didn't have very many options because our hotel was on the end of the strip so we decided to go to Zumanity. It was very risque to say the least.

On Saturday night we attended the Champion's Ball for all the salesmen. The event was held at our hotel in the convention center. We were served a fancy dinner of steak and fish and the most amazing chocolate mousse dessert. After the dinner they started giving away the prize packages. All the guys at our table, Tysen included, had scanned the prizes and knew what they wanted to win. For being generally unlucky Tysen sure was lucky this particular night. His prize package that he won included a 46" Sharp flat screen TV and a blu-ray player. Needless to say Tysen was pretty happy with his prize. The only part he doesn't like is waiting for the TV to be shipped to us in Havre. Hopefully it comes before Christmas. Tysen was extra lucky this night because not only did he win his prize package but he also won a money package! It was a very successful night!

Here we are with Tysen's "lucky" playing card that won him the prize money!
We had such an awesome time in Vegas! It was nice for us both to have a break from school and work for a few days. I'm so proud of Tysen for earning this trip. He works so hard for our family.... working and going to school both full time! This was a trip he very much deserved! I'm glad I was able to go along for the ride.
