This weekend we were able to finally go camping! We could only go for one night because I had to work the following morning. We drove out to second lake after we got off work. Second lake is about ten miles south of where we live, so it's a really quick drive. We set up camp and our friends from our ward joined us a short time after that. Clay, Jenny, and their little boy Caden joined us for dinner and fishing. We roasted hot dogs and then went fishing. Jenny and I didn't catch anything but Tysen and Clay both caught a fish. After a few more unsuccessful fishing attempts we decided to call it a night and make s'mores. This was Tysen's first Barker camping trip without a Griswald-like incident.

Here are some pictures of our campsite and of Tysen and his awesome fire he built us! I just realized I didn't get any pictures of Clay and Jenny or of Tysen's fish that he caught. Next time I'll make sure I do a better with the camera. We had a blast on our short camping trip and can't wait to take more over the summer!
